Key talk at the International Conference on Cancer Nursing, ICCN 2023, Glasgow

During the key talk at the ICCN 2023, titled: Finding your voice after Laryngectomy: Supporting the recovery from Head and Neck Cancer Treatments,

we will address the following learnign objectives:

1. Head and Neck cancer, treatment modalities, and the associated outcomes

2. The physical and emotional impact Head and Neck cancer surgery – specifically total Laryngectomy has on patients

3. How learning to sing with a voice prosthesis and preforming had on the rehabilitation and recovery of those patients

   
   

The talk will include video material of the laryngectomy choir in action and a moving testimonial by Jim Brewster, an active choir member and a cancer survivor.
